Terms of use

The short version: Camino is an early product, offered as it is. Your work stays yours. Use it honestly, and do not use it to hurt anyone.

What it is

Camino gives you a plan as a series of steps, and checks the evidence that each step is done. Some of that checking is done by an AI model. It can be wrong in either direction — refusing evidence that was fine, or accepting evidence that was not — and you should treat its verdicts as a second opinion, not a guarantee that your product works.

Your content

What you put into Camino remains yours. You give us permission to store it and to process it as described in the privacy policy, which is only so we can run the product for you. If you invite other people to a project, they can see and add to it. If you link a project to a repository on GitHub, it must be one you administer and may let Camino read; you can unlink it, or uninstall Camino's GitHub App, at any time.

Using it fairly

• Do not try to get into projects or accounts that are not yours.
• Do not use it to store anything unlawful, or to harass anyone.
• Do not try to overload it or get around its limits.

We may suspend an account that does these things.

Plans and payment

Shape, from the interview to the assessment, is free. Build has a seven-day trial, once per person, that starts when your first plan is agreed or imported. Distribute and research need a paid plan. Prices are in US dollars, per month, and are on the Billing page before you pay.

Payment is taken by Link, a Stripe service, which sells the plan to you as the merchant of record: it is the seller on your receipt; the price includes any sales tax, VAT or GST, which it collects and pays; and payment questions and refunds go through it, under its own terms.

A plan renews each month until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time in Link, and you keep the plan until the end of the month you paid for; nothing more is charged. If a renewal payment fails, your plan carries on for three days while it is retried, and after that your account works as a free one until it is paid.

When a plan ends nothing is deleted. Your projects keep their plans, history and decisions, and the paid parts wait until you choose a plan again.

We may change prices. A new price applies from your first renewal after we have told you, and never to a month you have already paid for.

No guarantees

Camino is provided as it is, while it is being built. We do our best to keep it running and to keep your information safe, but we do not promise it will always be available, error-free, or suitable for a particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses that come from using it. Nothing here removes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be removed.

Changes and ending

We may change these terms as the product changes, and will say so on this page with a new date. You can stop using Camino at any time and ask us to delete your information.

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
